Athens International Airport Eleftherios Venizelos (AIR)

The Athens International Airport Eleftherios Venizelos (named after the famous Greek Prime Minister that formed a new government at the beginning of the 20th century), was one of the most important guarantees for the smooth functioning of the 2004 Athens Olympic Games.

It is located at Spata, Athens and was inaugurated on 28 March 2001. It promises to be Europe's new southern gateway to the world. The airport is operating with the most advanced technologies and equipment, with its focus on safety, user-friendliness and service excellence. It is designed to accommodate 16 million passengers per year (600 daily landings to and from Athens). This modern, safe, reliable and competitive airport solidifies Greece’s position in the international transport network. The project is one of the greatest infrastructure works ever constructed or implemented in Greek history.

The airport, like other modern airports around the world, has all the latest amenities available to the travelling public. These services include business centres, restaurants, banking, postal facilities and Greek Tourism services.

Η ΝΑΥΤΕΜΠΟΡΙΚΗ : ΠΟΛΙΤΙΣΤΙΚΑ Η ΝΑΥΤΕΜΠΟΡΙΚΗ : ΠΟΛΙΤΙΣΤΙΚΑ Τιμητικό αφιέρωμα στον Τσίρκα και τον Καββαδία Ο Στρατής Τσίρκας και ο Νίκος Καββαδίας επανέρχονται στην επικαιρότητα χάρη στις επετειακές εκδηλώσεις που διοργανώνει το Εθνικό Κέντρο Βιβλίου. Μουσικές διαδρομές στο χρόνο Tο πρώτο σόλο άλμπουμ του με τίτλο «Vintage» παρουσιάζει στο Μικρό Παλλάς ο Βασιλικός, συνθέτης, στιχουργός και τραγουδιστής των Raining Pleasure. Αναγνώσεις στο Εθνικό Θέατρο Η πρωταρχική ύλη του θεάτρου, το κείμενο, έρχεται σε πρώτο πλάνο στις Αναγνώσεις, που διοργανώνει το Εθνικό Θέατρο, από τις 17 -21 Μαρτίου, στην αίθουσα εκδηλώσεων του κτιρίου Τσίλερ. Αφιέρωμα στη Μελίνα Με την ιδιαίτερα σημαντική έκθεση «Μελίνα-Παιδεία-Πολιτισμός», που άνοιξε χθες τις πόρτες της, το Ίδρυμα Ευγενίδου (Λεωφ. Συγγρού 387, Π. Φάληρο) τιμά μια μεγάλη γυναίκα -και μέσα από αυτήν όλες τις γυναίκες-, εγκαινιάζοντας παράλληλα το φετινό εκθεσιακό πρόγραμμά του. Κοζάνη: Σπάνια ευρήματα στην Αιανή Σπάνια ευρήματα, μεταξύ των οποίων αρχιτεκτονικά κατάλοιπα τάφων, χειροποίητα αγγεία, «τσαλακωμένες» φιάλες, πήλινα ειδώλια και επιτύμβιες στήλες, έφερε στο φως αρχαιολογική σκαπάνη στη βασιλική Νεκρόπολη, στη θέση Λειβάδια της Αιανής Κοζάνης.
